The machines on display in the museum are full-size and fully functional. Some of them are interactive, providing visitors with an engaging experience as they figure out how they work by moving levers and mechanisms.

Multilingual descriptions are provided for all machines (in Italian, English, Russian, Spanish, French and German).
The museum's machines can be categorised into three broad types: war machines, civilian machines and flying machines.
